The Legend Says: "On Monday's I would head to The Showboat or The
Borgata. You are going to see the most standard structure, and
biggest fields at The Borgata. However, I feel that the weakest
tournament competition finds its way over to The Showboat. The
subpar competition coupled with the lack of antes make it a very
lucrative option. I have final tabled in more than half the
tournaments I have played there."
The Legend Says: "There are no difference between the Monday and Tuesday
tournaments, my advice still holds true on Tuesdays."
The Legend Says: "Wednesday's are a little different because you have
the guaranteed tournaments over at The Borg. I would head there at
11am or 7pm. Those tournaments guarantee $10k and 15k
respectively. They also have low buy-ins at $50+10 and $100+20.
The combination of guaranteed money, low buy-ins, and large fields make
that an attractive option for a Wednesday morning or evening."
The Legend Says: "Refer to Monday for my advice regarding Thursday."
The Legend Says: "Friday's are a good day for tournament poker in AC.
If you have the bankroll the $50k guaranteed at the Borgata is probably
your best bet. The guaranteed money brings a large field, good
competition, and employs a great structure. Also, most buy-ins get
bumped up. The later Showboat tournaments move to $85+15 and keep
the same great structure and mediocre competitions. You will
probably see between somewhere between 70-100 in the field at The
Showboat."
The Legend Says: "Saturday is a great day to head over to the 7pm at The
Showboat. The $100+20 buy-in gets you $15k in tournament chips,
but keeps the same ante-less structure. They have been getting
huge fields lately for this tournament. Keep in mind that the
field does remain weak despite the higher buy-in, and even the regulars
play fast, hoping to get back to cash games."
The Legend Says: "Sunday is a slow tournament day in AC. I would
head to The Showboat or Harrah's. If you are planning a trip where
you will get there to play on a Sunday, wait for a Major Championship to
come in and play one of the smaller events on a Sunday."
